This 1920’s heritage-listed Edwardian home required a large modern extension. However, retaining its character and history-steeped aura was paramount. Buckley Building preserved existing period features and seamlessly married these with a fresh, light filled space resulting in a contemporary farmhouse feel. The arched hallway entrance became a standout feature that juxtaposes the open plan cathedral roof with a nod to the original era. This provides a stunning transition from existing home to modern extension.
